The data also includes connectors, created to maintain connectivity between network features, and artificial paths, created to facilitate hydrologic modeling through open water. The water lines are created from aerial photography observation and interpretation using stereo processing techniques. Vector line work is reviewed and updated from 2024 photography.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV>
Water lines in this dataset support many functions including thematic mapping, land records, property assessment, and surveying and engineering projects. Additional attributes are included to aid in linking to non-County resources.

Feature attributes are identified using analytical and softcopy photogrammetric compilation methods. Automated GIS processes supplement the photo identified feature attributing with the numerical parameters.
Graphical elements are topologically clean as the majority of the linework is intended to create closed boundaries or polygons. The linework represents physical features existing at the time of data collection.
All features of this type photogrammetrically identifiable within the Ramsey County coverage are included.
This data meets or exceeds the National Map Accuracy Standard (NMAS) - 1/30 of 1 inch at map scale. Tested 2.5 feet horizontal accuracy at 95% confidence level.
Not Applicable as it pertains to a two-dimensional ArcGIS dataset. However, during feature compilation the vertical accuracy meets NMAS - 1/6000 of flight height above mean terrain.
This layer contains a vector representation of water features. Color aerial photography and airborne GPS used for aerotriangulation. Aerotrianglution solution used with analytical and soft copy stereo plotters to collect limited planimetric feature. LIDAR DEM provide by Ramsey County under separate contract with Waggoner Inc. of Jackson, Mississippi was used to create digital ortho images.
The data was significantly updated in 2016 with the collection of physical features and impermeable surface data based on 6 inch stereo-imagery collected in March 2015. This data was reviewed and updated as needed from aerial imagery captures in the spring of 2017.
